The Tennessee River Basin Network is comprised of a vast cast of characters working to conserve natural resources through science, management action, communications and engagement. This map highlights specific conservation actions from members of the Network. It is a visual tool to identify who is doing what where, with the goal of helping to share resources and information and bolster collaborative action to make conservation more efficient and effective.

Conservation Fisheries Inc.

Conservation Fisheries is dedicated to the preservation of aquatic biodiversity in our streams and rivers. Over nearly 30 years we have developed techniques to propagate more than 65 nongame fish, including some of the most imperiled species in the southeastern United States. Our primary goal is to restore fish populations that have been eliminated because of pollution or habitat destruction.

Conservation Planning and Design Report
-
Conservation planning is concerned with spatially identifying and prioritizing lands and waters important for functioning ecosystems and biodiversity. It is a science utilizing geographic information systems and large datasets to generate scenario-based maps of conservation potential. These scenarios can balance social, economic, and regulatory constraints with processes that occur over time and space. The planning process itself, as well as final products, helps practitioners prioritize where and when to take conservation action.
